Ring Smart

RingSmart gives you control over your BlackBerry's ring profile. Now you can set a weekly ring schedule for your phone to follow. You can set your BlackBerry to automatically go silent at night, vibrate at work, or ring loudly when you're out with friends in the evenings.

Features:

• Schedule weekly ring profile (Normal, Loud, Vibrate, etc.) down to the minute.

Please note that RingSmart cannot change your phone's profile while it's in the holster. RingSmart will alert you with three short vibrations to momentarily unholster your phone.

Installation

Once you install the application, run it by clicking on its icon:

Carefully read through the End User License Agreement and click "I Agree" if you agree with the terms.

You will be asked to view and accept a set of permissions necessary for the application to run properly.

Click your trackpad or back button to accept and save the permissions.

Setup

After installation, you will be presented with the rule list screen as seen below.

Set Default Profile

Choose the profile you want the device to use when no exceptions apply.

Edit Exceptions

Add, edit, or delete exceptions to the default profile by clicking the trackball/trackpad.

Adjust the specifics of the exception to the desired days and times.

Repeat creating and modifying exceptions untill you have the desired schedule.

Note that lower exceptions fine-tune higher ones. If two or more exceptions overlap in time, the lowest one will take effect for the overlapped period. You can change the position of any exception by clicking the trackball/trackpad and moving it up or down.

Set Auto-unlock Password

One of Ring Smart's features is the ability to update your ring profile while your phone is locked. Ring Smart does this by logging you in, switching your profile, and then logging you back out. This happens very quickly and your device is relocked after the change.

To use this service, choose Set Password from the menu.

Type in your existing password -- the one you use to unlock your phone -- and press Ok.

That's it! RingSmart has now been setup. You can close the application at this time.
